On the Teams & People page, Teams are listed, and a team description is displayed to provide more information about what that team is focused on.

To create or modify the team description, select the "Team Settings" option from the menu for the relevant team.

Then, in the "About this team" section, add/edit the description. You can use the rich text editor to insert links and formatting. Highlight the text to expose the toolbar.
