How to connect GitKraken Glo boards with Status Hero

Updated over a week ago

When you connect your Status Hero account and GitKraken Glo, Status Hero will automatically include team members' card updates with their check-ins.

You and your team can also view, filter, and cross-reference Glo updates in the team activity stream.

Here's how to set it up:

In GitKraken Glo, open up a board you'd like to connect and visit the Settings > Webhooks menu item.

In Status Hero, copy the URL from the GitKraken Glo panel in your Status Hero Account Management - Integrations page.

In the next screen, paste it into the "Payload URL" field. Select "Card" under "Trigger Events" and click "Create Webhook"

Now you'll need to paste your GitKraken personal access token (PAT) into Status Hero. Follow these instructions to generate one, and paste into the GitKraken Glo panel in your Status Hero team settings. Only read access to boards are needed.

Once you have it hooked up, card updates will show up first in the activity stream and then associated with team member check-ins.

Auto-complete

Once a few activities have been logged, you can use the auto-complete functionality in check-ins and comments to auto-link to issues in your GitKraken Glo account.

Simply type # and a string of text that is part of your GitKraken Glo item and you'll be able to select and auto-insert a fully formatted link to the item.

Troubleshooting:

  • Look for updates in the activity stream first. The check-ins on the dashboard will sum up updates from the previous period. (The check-ins essentially say "here's what I did yesterday, and here are all the GitKraken Glo updates to go along with that.)

  • Check to make sure the names (first and last) in Glo match the names of your Status Hero team members. That's how the card updates are associated with your team members.
