To create a new Live Goal, access the "Goals" section in the left-hand navigation menu and select the "Create a goal" button.

Enter a title for your Live Goal. We recommend something short that describes the objective.

Enter a description. This is where you can list the details of the Live Goal, deliverables, and key results.

Select whether the Live Goal contributes to a Parent goal. If it contributes to a larger Live Goal, select it from the "Parent goal" drop-down.

Assign an owner. This person will be responsible for providing updates on the progress.

Select any "Contributors". Live Goal Contributors will see their Live Goals when checking in. They will not be prompted to provide updates like the Owner but can post updates if they wish.

Select the teams that are involved in the Live Goal. Live Goals assigned to multiple teams will be listed on each team's Goals page. Members of each team will receive Live Goal updates.

Select the start and end dates.

Set the update cadence. Consider longer cadences like bi-weekly or monthly for team Live Goals and a weekly cadence for individual ones.

Adjust visibility. By default, Live Goals are visible to everyone in the account. To limit visibility to only involved teams, select the "Visible to:" option and switch it to "Involved teams".

Save.
